BN State Assemblyman from Semerak demanded Pas controlled State Government to control on the development of non Muslim place for worshipping by citing some of the temples in Tumpat and in Bachok, the BN Representative from UMNO said such building is a mark of challenge to Islam.

As Kelantan is famously known as Serambi Mekkah (The corridor of Mecca), allowing such liberty is a sign of contradiction of the Islamic representation by the State.

The assemblyman said this while debating on an amendment to one of the state’s law during the afternoon session.
