The best mind in the industry, as Pak Indrus put it, has left us at 11.25pm, saturday night in Damansara Specialist Hospital.
Yasmin ventured into the industry with praises and criticism and yesterday night, she left after bringing so much hope for the Malaysian Film Industry. She has brought the best out of many young Malaysians and she gave us the One Malaysia way before the current Prime Minister.
Yasmin, may you rest in peace.
I will always remember you.

innalillah. this is so surreal. but then again, from He we came to Him we came back.
she is by far, the best person to show Malaysians in a different perspectives.
may she rests in peace…will miss her and let’s apprecite what she has given us all…
We will miss a true Anak Bangsa Malaysia.
She tried her best to make us realise how we are truly one people.
We will miss the beautiful Petronas festive season clips..
May her soul rest in peace.
This is sad news and more sad for the Malaysian film industry….who lost one of the rare and finest.
May she rest in peace and my sincere condolences to her family and love ones.
Allah have reasons to deny our prayers.
In the end…it may be HIS mercy and great love for her…to take her away from sufferings and hardships.
This is the only logical way I can console myself….for my prayer….not answered.
Dust to dust..earth to earth…one day..all of us must return.
Life is so uncertain….and death is certain.
The good always die too young.
It is all written….all fated….all planed by Allah.
I hope her love ones….learn to let go and live on with fond memories.
i let go and prayed for my mother’s death when I saw her suffered so much….clinging to life…in hospital..and up to now….more than 30 years…I still miss her everyday..so very much..which one day….I will surely see her again.
But I did dream so many times…she is happy and well.
With this…I hope to part some written condolences to Yasmin love ones….to let go and always remember her with everlasting love and fond memories.
She must be with Allah and well.
Yes…she showed us….the one Malaysia ..long long ago…so far sighted.. truthful..and sincere..that she even got her film banned from Malaysia.
She tried so hard to teach TRUTHS.
Her job is done..in this world.
She will not be forgotten by those who love her.
She will always be remembered… her works she left us… a making of a genius. She truly shows us how to be a Malaysian.
RIP Yasmin.
I saw this ad while on a bus in Singapore. If I weren’t in public area, I would have cried.
Yasmin made the best ads.
I am going to miss her work.
yes r.i.p yasmin u the best…
do not know her personally but i can see how beautiful she IS… God bless.
An irreplaceable loss to our country.
A person who has the fine quality to look beyond the camera lenses cutting thru barriers to propogate Multi racial respect and love messages yet able to touch many Malaysians’ hearts and minds .
Thru her many films and morality adverts that we selfish minded Malaysians took many things for granted without appreciating the importance of Respect and Love to our friends, elderly, religions and country.
She had succeeded in all the above.
We truly owed her and will remember all her messages .
We will miss her .
Permit me to say ” May Allah Almighty Bless her soul”
Rest In Peace Yasmin Ahmad.
She will be missed even here across the causeway.
Dear Sheikh,
May Allah bless HIS soul!!
Is it true that Yasmin was born a MAN??
Salam
Sheih Said: Salam Bro, Long time ago, when a child is born with both of not so fully develop genital organ (Islam has a term for it), the parents always choose to decide based on the parents emotion. When the child grew up, as their hormones develops, the chemical within them may help to path the way. That child’s emotion and needs may decide it path. This is the glory of God which is very sad that some of us Muslims tend to downgraded base of perception and most of the time, base on their lack of knowledge. Always the hollier than thou attitude. Man of not, is between the person and God as none of us ever look beyond the cloth. But now the person is already in the good hand of God, where else us, still hanging here not knowing our fate.
She will always be what she choose to be for me. That is the best way to remember her.
But after what being said and done, we should have more respect for her. For what she has been through in life and for what that she manage to overcome and succeed. The spirit of Yasmin should live amongst us.
Dear Sheikh,
Thanks for your reply. I just asking for some “factual truth” from you as you and arwah are friend. Very sorry if you or anybody felt offended.
