76 and Frail, yet he’s still the one they want

I would like to refer to the article, 76 and frail, yet he’s still the one they want, published by NST recently. On behalf of the Menteri Besar of Kelantan, Tuan Guru Dato’ Haji Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, let me express gratitude for the write up.
However, it is strongly believed that the primary issue in the article, which revolves around the physical condition of Tuan Guru and the prospect of the ruling party without his charismatic leadership, is deceptive and needs to be clarified. While it is accurate that Tuan Guru is a progressive and forward-looking leader and that his moderation and humbleness, is an act hard to follow, the question of finding a replacement should never arise.
As the loyal servant of Allah, the issues of life and death, is purely in the hand of The Creator and there is no exemption for Tuan Guru. Nevertheless, as a man who lives daily in the name and grace of Allah, he will continue his mission even at the moment of facing death. Let alone using a walking stick.
Until today, Tuan Guru has successfully managed to develop the state under the concept of Membangun Bersama Islam and through out the 17 years, he has not been alone. Those young leaders who stood with him when PAS was swept into power are now matured and seasoned politicians, moulded by none other than Tuan Guru himself.
They are ever ready to export and share their experiences of developing Kelantan through out Malaysia, even to the level of the Federal government. With that, the whole issue about the continuity of leadership has never been a concern for Tuan Guru and PAS. It should also not be a concern for the people of Kelantan.
