DYMM Raja Perempuan Kelantan

More than a decade ago, when Annuar Musa and UMNO Kelantan wanted to dethrone the current Sultan of Kelantan, The Kelantan State PAS organised sholat hajat and prayed to the Al Mighty the throne will remain safe.

The leadership of Kelantan PAS remained loyal to the Tuanku and defended the palace more than any state government has done before. Be it the Lamborghini saga or the constitutional crisis they were always there defended the institution.

Ironically, it was the institution that sent them into oblivion in 1978.

I bet Tok Guru Nik Aziz had faced such a tough time convincing his supporters that it is Islamic indeed to remain loyal to the Sultan. But he has succeeded in doing so. Whatever vendetta in may be due to the 1978 crisis, Tok Guru has time and again proven that, not to ask what the palace can do for you yet always ask what you can do to defend the palace.

Daulat Tuanku.

All The President’s Men

26 03 2009

Move aside Mat Taib, UMNO is heading towards changes. Muhyiddin is the new deputy president. And Hishamuddin seems going to get his chance to bring his keris to more mature platform.

Good luck Malaysia and Good Night Lah!

Prayers for Mat Tyson and Co.

26 03 2009

Let us pray for Mat Taib to win Deputy President of UMNO and let us also pray that all other penyagak like Abdul Rahim Thamb Chik, Isa Samad, Hishamuddin Tun Hussin and the rest win The Vice President  and The Supreme Council position.

And I hope The New President of UMNO, soon to be Prime Minister, Mr. Najib Razak will seriously consider about appointing Khairy Jamaluddin into one of the more senior Ministerial position.

Khairy deserves to be appointed into Finance or Defend portfolio and at last we will have an Oxford Graduate in the Cabinet.

However, in case Mike Tyson lose to Muhyiddin Yassin, I just wish Najib has the balls to consider Khairy for Deputy Premiership instead.

This is becoming more interesting that oatmeal.

Congrats UMNO Youth!

25 03 2009

UMNO youth has spoken, they wanted no changes, they find nothing wrong with them and they give Malaysia, Khairy Jamaluddin!

Bravo!

Recipe for The Heart

23 03 2009

misc0118march-2009

Among the advice that I get were to take one tablespoon less of politics, double dosage of zikir and hours of exercises. Nevertheless nothing beats the homemade recipe specially to reduce the cholesterol level.

When I was admitted to the hospital, my cholesterol level was 7.1 mmol/L where else the desirable level is below 5.2 mmol/L. I had to protest because I wasn’t given the notice if not I wouldn’t have indulged myself into 2 bowls of Gulai Lemak Otak Lembu and double dosage of Turtle’s egg a week earlier in the notoriously sinful Hover Restaurant.

As the result, I have to go on oat diet for the last three weeks. I have to admit that I hate oat because of its original taste that is a bit sweet for me. Some people also hate it because eating it make you feel like eating ‘hampas’.

Even fellow blogger, KB Guy has been teasing me every morning and calling me Oat Boy!

Nevertheless, yesterday was a good day when I finally had my revenge against the cholesterol. I did my follow-up check yesterday and it shows that my total cholesterol level has drop to 3.9 mmol/L. Not just that, my LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) also dropped from 5.1 mmol/L to 2.3 mmol/L.

I am also nicotine free for 3 weeks now.

My Cardiologist also was very satisfied with the progress shown. It is a joy to know that all the sacrifices I have made is showing such a positive development.

Well, that is the result for having 4 glasses of plain water very early in the morning, a capsule of red yeast rice in the afternoon, a tablespoon of Apple Cider in the evening and a bowl of oats every night.

Frankly, I tend to love having oats everyday once I managed to change its taste with lots of improvisation. It is all down to creative cooking.

Oat is actually very flexible and you can cook it in various way so it became tastier yet healthy. I used the oat as a based for my cooking. I made it into soup or porridge with strong taste side dishes that help to make you feel like you are eating gourmet food instead of oat.

There is endless way of cooking oat and perhaps soon I may created gourmet pigeon stew with oat. But for today, I would love to share my recipe of Oat Porridge with Steam Fish.

Preparation of the oat.

I love to have my oat watery so it feels more like soup. Most of the time I have it with a teaspoon of mince ginger and mince garlic. A few drops of grape seed oil also will help added the nutty taste and helps increase the good fat intake.

misc0124march-2009

I also always add vegetables into my oat. This time around I add some Kulat Sisir (Comb Mushroom) into my oat. I also love to have it with tempe but my advice, unless you want to look like Khir Toyo, better not have it too often.

misc0012march-2009

For the side dishes, I love to have fish or beef slices steam with some spices. I normally used lots of fresh ginger, fresh turmeric, fresh galangal, garlic, shallot and black pepper. I love the strong spicy taste. I also normally put few teaspoons of bean paste (tauchu) or asam keping or both to get the sour taste.

misc0009march-2009

I blend part of the ginger, turmeric, galangal, garlic and shallot and marinade the fish for half an hour with the ingredients. You can imagine how tasty it is by just looking at the colour as it looks just like the faces of UMNO delegations after they discovered that they are few thousand richer just by shaking hands with some of the hopeful candidates.

misc0026march-2009

I also add some chilli and it really make you sweat eating it. But rest assure, if you find somebody is sweating heavily in PWTC this next couple of days, it is not because they had to many cabai, but because they got cabai-d by the UMNO disciplinary council.

misc0015march-2009

Later I put the other half or the spices into a bowl with the fish and steam it for few minutes. Never overcook your fish because if you do that, you tend to lose the sweetness of the juice.

misc0128march-2009

Trust me, this will be a great meal for the next couple of days if you are monitoring the UMNO General Assembly. It has all the specific taste, hot, spicy, sour and it surely will fill you tummy if not your pocket. Good luck.

Hail The Father of Unity

22 03 2009

goodnight-lah1

Somewhere in February 2007, about ten of the most sought after Malay bloggers were called to attend a meeting, few blocks from Bukit Aman.

In bloggers term those days, this is the most secretive meeting ever arranged amongst blogger. Nobody knew who else would attend and who organised the meeting.

As I sat there, I saw all the Malay big guns in the local blogosphere scene plus one non-blogger who sat quietly at one corner.

The agenda is to topple Abdullah from his premiership using a well fine tune orchestrated informal movement within the bloggers circle.

Each and everyone who had spoken on that particular night, somehow, taken unrequested oath and swore that they are doing this with clear conscience that it is about sending Abdullah’s packing in PRU 12 and not about bringing Barisan Nasional down.

I did the same when it was my turn to speak. Nevertheless, somehow I was told that we must make sure Barisan Nasional will not win Kelantan because this will be the morale booster for Abdullah.

With that, our first aim is to campaign for young Malaysia to register themselves as voters. We know they are the strength of the oppositions. The strength of the blogs and the influence of the ten bloggers have overpowered the might of UMNO mercenary bloggers.

We also strategized our posting by creating chain of issues against Abdullah’s lifestyle, character, attitude and policies.

Somehow, miracles happens, the more we were attacked, the more support we got, the more we were blocked, the more people willing to take over our role and blog. And the opposition fast riding on us.

One main important issue about this group of ten is that, most of us were UMNO members and one PKR and one blogger without any political link.

Through the blog, we had managed to brand Abdullah as a liar.

The point of this posting is not about taking glory from what had happen. What actually happen, why it happen and how it happen is not an agenda anymore? What I want to highlight is how Abdullah had managed to unite us.

This is the asset that we are fast losing. No other leader post March 8, 2008 has the weaknesses that can unite us.

Uniting us is Abdullah’s weaknesses but Abdullah will forever be remembered as our strength.

Losing Abdullah has fast becoming a curse to the blogosphere. I have seen enough of how we become disunited and started to cannibalise each other.

We used to put the blame on Monsterball for spreading the seed of disunity but the truth is, we are what we are. What had happened to us was a miracle, united by what we perceived as the weaknesses of a man named Abdullah.

However, what we actually perceived as his weaknesses is actually his strength. Blogosphere will never be same again.

Post Abdullah will see warlords amongst blogger, trying to force their agenda onto the LCD screen of the reader. Post Abdullah will see warlords amongst blogger trying to force their political agenda and their favourite politician onto the net. Post Abdullah will see cyber warfare filled with civil wars where those once brothers and sisters pushing the enter key to post their barbaric act for us to read.

I have seen it started and it made me sad. I have seen civil war between my blogging-brothers and amongst those who pioneered the Malaysia Blogosphere Brotherhood. I have even see my brothers using the mainstream media, television, magazine and even facebook to lash at their cyber buddies.

Perhaps, this is the prelude of what to expect from the Najib’s era. Barbaric local cyber scene as a reaction to the appointment of a barbarian leader.

I have started missing Abdullah. And for that brotherhood he had given to the Malaysian Blogger, I wish to thank him.

Quail For The Heart

Move aside Ali Rustam, it is time for UMNO to vote Mat Tyson as the next Deputy President and maybe, if UMNO can survive the next few years, he may stand a chance to be our next next Prime Minister.

This is my choice of UMNO Dream team:
President – Najib Razak
Deputy President – Muhammad Bin Muhammad Taib
Vice President – Syed Hamid Albar, Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik, Hishamuddin Tun Hussein.
Wanita Chief – Rafidah Aziz
Youth Chief – Tie between Khir Toyol and Khairy Jamaluddin.

It is an obvious dreamtime as it is fill with masters for all sort of expertise.

Why should I waste my next weeks monitoring the outcome of the future of the nation… does we have a future?

I would rather focus on my quail project at my backyard.

Learning Maths & Science in English Will Make You A Mat Rempit!

11 03 2009

In an unprecedented statement so far, the PAS Muslimat Chief alleged the teaching of Maths and Science will send students backwards and force them into doing all sort of negative things such as becoming drug addicts, Mat Rempit and other ‘wild’ things.

HarakahDaily quoted Ustazah Nuridah Salleh during the launch of The Bukit Gantang Campaign Machinery in Perak. Read here.

Tegas Nuridah, dasar tersebut (Teaching Match and Science in English) seumpama “keris makan tuan” iaitu merosakkan masa depan generasi muda kita .

“Anak-anak kita bukan bertambah maju ke depan malah sebaliknya ianya banyak mendorong kepada kegiatan sosial yang negatif, seperti mendekati penyalahan pengunaan dadah, mat rempit dan terpengaruh sosial liar”.

Unity Government Abdullah – Anwar

11 03 2009

Unity Government is for Abdullah to decide and the rest can only give suggestion. Abdullah is still the Prime Minister of Malaysia and fast becoming an idol to the Opposition Pact whom had taken a monumental strength in the last election due to the weaknesses on Abdullah’s side.

PAS President, Hadi Awang made a statement few weeks ago suggesting for Unity Government, nevertheless what came from Hadi’s mouth can be branded as “Hidung tak mancung, pipi tersorong-sorong”.

Hadi neither commands the confident from the majority members of the Malaysia Parliament nor does he leads the government to make such invitation.

Hadi is merely the leader of a party that had the smallest number of seats among the opposition pact.

But if ever there’s anything to be read between the line, it is no point of starring at those words of Hadi but they may be something hidden and worth exploiting if we study the informal lunch and meeting by Abdullah and Anwar.

Perhaps.
