monsterball, i have always observe your comments and i would say your comments are somewhat “berakal sengkek”. but then that is just my opinion of you, so i might be very well wrong in all aspect of it.
let me ask your own question back at you, are there not any single soul that is not poor in the states that used to be under the rule of UMNO/BN? selangor, kedah, perlis, terengganu (still is UMNO – eat, breath, die UMNO, despite a rich oil state), sabah (also UMNO still – eat, breath…), johor too? have you not been watching Bersamamu on TV3(suku)? at least in kelantan, despite the limited resources the state can utilize, they still maintain the negeri “makmur” under the rule of PAS, guidance of tok guru. ask any of the “orang luar” that came to visit, almost all would comment that the food there are cheaper and abundance.
terengganu is much poorer than kelantan. what is wrong with UMNO in terengganu? are they looking after their own citizens? waste of money going to the beautiful Masjid Kristal, but it is not utilized at all. how many millions of rakyat’s money wasted? how many mouths able to be fed by that money? you tell me brother, monsterball. kindly answer me that one question, and i will forever think highly of you.

2. You seems to be interested to know about powerty and development in Kelantan. I am a 100% Kelantanese and travelled and stayed in many parts of Penisular Malaysia. As far as development are concern Kelantan is more or less the same as Perlis and Kedah. Perhaps worst than them. This is a genneral statement but I am sure anyone would genuinely agreed on it.

kbguy, have you heard of what they call “the sub-conscious” talking? pay attention to what dollah said, “Malaysia is not going into recession at the moment”….why did he use the word “at the moment”? if you pay attention carefully to his speech, he uses a lot of the word “i think”…instead of “i feel” or “i’m confident”, which implies that he is hiding something which he already knows.

Even an old and shabby house has a mercedes car parked in its yard.
I don’t know where do u live but certain places in selangor turn into ‘pekan berhantu’ during hari raya…of course they’re not just kelantanese who live there.
U should also view at the perspective of history and relationship between federal government and state government. Only after that u can answer why there’s poverty in kelantan?

I just hope someone or everyone will read it and open their eyes widely and give their sincere opinion about kelantan.. it’s powerty and the state of develpoment as well for the sake of their parents, great parents and their children who will inherit this state, especially to the state government and it’s apointed agents like Shieh, a Corporate Communication personnel or Public Relation guy to Kelantan Menteri Besar Corporation. A person with his position is best to relate the matter to MB and Husam and at the same time to all Kelantanese abroad to interact how they can help and assist into this matter. Anyway, Sheih has did a good start by collecting donations through his blog. But what about develpment ? Too much time has been spent on politics. Gajah lawan sama gajah, katak mati terpijak !

Kailasam Muthusamy (18:50:16) : You can meet the Tok Guru in person every Friday (if he is able to be present himself) during his early morning Friday sermon among the thousands of Kelantanese and other outside state visitors too. The time is from 9am. You may have to arrive in KB on Thursday and book a hotel somewhere in the KB, near the PAS head office in KB. They have hotel Ansar there (closest to the sermon place). It is held on the streets where they erect tents for the people to sit under.
From the comments I read here, some people still does not see that the problem that Kelantan faces is, how a government that was in debt when the BN left in 1990, and they (PAS – Tok Guru) had to payback the debts to federal with the limited resources they had, and at the same time during that 18 years, still provide for the needy of the state. To those that are just all talks and thinks nothing of what had been done and tried by the state of Kelantan, will you please think again before you say things. A lot of things and welfare initiated by the government of Kelantan are now being copied and implemented by the federal government.
1. 60 days maternity leave for mothers, and fathers have 2 weeks (if i am not mistaken)
2. 3 rooms as a standard for houses
3. skim kifaalah – insurance for the warga emas (selangor copied and calls it skim insurance kasih)
4. 2 days rest (Friday-Saturday) – federal govt are now embracing it
5. ar-rahn (gadaian islam) – now the federals are keen on promoting more of it
6. 7-eleven not selling beer – only in Kelantan
Those are just a number of things being implemented and already running by the state. If Kelantan is rich with resources, do you think they will not help the poor? The big task is this, I believe other CEO faces the same thing as well, how can you provide for your citizens when all you have is limited resources to spend. Terengganu is a good example of management gone wrong state, a rich oil state but you don’t see much of development, other than just a Kristal masjid which nobody really go there to pray “all the time”. Tell me if I am so wrong at this.

On the question of poverty in Kelantan, I want to ask Muslims reading this, is material poverty more important than spiritual poverty? My understanding is that Kelantan is, spiritually, the richest state in Malaysia!
What can UMNO claim?

This is not something the government should do. It all start with us.. you, me, he and she. How can the government help us if we don’t help ourselves. Be sincere to our self and the others. If our rate of poverty is low, just accept it. Then see what or how we can help. Don’t just try to cover it up behind our ass. At the end of the day, it’s going to be apparent and we are the one to loose ! Just look at yourself. If you think you are satisfy with all you have comparing to the rest of the world.., i just feel pity to you.

i guess u live in KL? look around you, in most every corner there is a kelantanese restaurant or eatery. the ayam kampung restaurant, the so called tom yam or malay seafood store are most probably operated by kelantanese. so please explain the part where kelantanese are lazy? kelantanese dare to venture out of their home land just to seek an honest living. and they will never forget to bring back the riches gathered from outside back to kelantan. go to shah alam and bangi where you will most probably find kelantanese living there, those are places outside KL itself.
what is wrong in growing fresh produce? i thought pak lah even had encouraged the malaysians to grow their own fresh vegetables in order to “change the lifestyle” since the last fuel hike. where were you? were you in malaysia or were you somewhere in australia spending a good time under the sun?
we are not backwards, BN is backwards in everything they do now. it shows and the whole of malaysia sees. i think you can compare that yourself, by the way, you even boasted that you are a smart guy.
