Malaysia To Scrap Eurocopter Deal!

28 10 2008

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – Malaysia has decided to axe a controversial $657 million military helicopter order in the government’s first major budget cutbacks since the global financial crisis, an influential news website reported on Sunday.

“The Eurocopter deal is off due to the bleak economic times ahead,” the Malaysian Insider (www.themalaysianinsider.com) said, quoting an unidentified source.

It said Finance Minister Najib Razak decided at the weekend to scrap the contract for 12 EC725 helicopters awarded to the European helicopter maker following a review of state spending.

Najib’s spokesman told Reuters said he had not heard about the decision while defence ministry officials had no immediate comment on the story.

Malaysia unveiled an economic stabilisation plan last week in its first admission of the effects of the global financial crisis on its trade-dependent economy.

Najib said at the weekend he would announce more measures to stimulate the economy when he winds up 2009 budget debate on Nov. 4.

He will also cut official economic growth target for 2009 from 5.4 percent currently.

Najib and Second Finance Minister Nor Mohamed Yakcp were reported on Sunday as saying Malaysia would not slip into recession next year.

“We nay feel the pinch of the financial meltdown but I am confident we will not fall into a recession,” Nor Mohamed was quoted by the New Sunday Times as saying. Continued…

Najib Will Bring BN To Speedy End

26 10 2008

The late Tun Abdul Razak engineered the construction of Barisan Nasional and brought back democracy to the country. Gerakan and PAS were among the new members of the coalition from Peninsular Malaysia.

Although PAS was forced to leave BN less then a decade later, yet, under Mahathir Mohamed, BN become much stronger despites some chaotic moments in Sabah.

BN reached its pinnacle in 2004, some said due to the new breathe by the new leader, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi whom during that time was famously known as Mr. Clean. While others believe the huge mandate was a way some Malaysian voters wanted to thank Tun Dr. Mahathir who left office few months before the election. I was among those who voted MCA Candidate in order to thank Tun.

When Mahathir made the announcement about his retirement, many who were neither strong supporters of BN nor believer of UMNO felt that the country soon would be facing an uncertain future. Although we do shared the sorrows and grievances faced by many due to strong and forceful policies on national security during Mahathir’s time, yet the majority cherished.

Despites all the so-called bailouts, we always managed to crawl back and stand up. Yes, during those times, we stood tall in the eye of the world. And Mahathir did it against all odds. Please don’t hide those facts away.

Nevertheless, if Mahathir were given another chance, forget about his age factor, but take into consideration how the aging world has fast change, I doubt he will be able to continue to serve us like before. He is one of a kind, yes, yet he is only a man for his era.

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi took over the country when the world is facing monumental changes. Mahathir retired at the brink of digital changes that he always dreamt and played a part, with cautious. Abdullah tried to govern the country in moderation but beside his flip-flop decision, the conservativeness in UMNO help to fasten his exit. UMNO had until today failed to face the changing world and the new generation. Will UMNO ever capable to change and re-brand itself?

The brand called UMNO is a laughing stock for the new generation. It does not suite the new transparent world. UMNO can never grow any younger because it is full of young leader whom too fond of old UMNO strategy.

A beautiful doctored photo of Najib as it appeared in Rocky’s Bru

Will Najib capable of bringing UMNO down to its knee to be knighted by the new generation? I seriously doubt it. I never doubt Najib’s capabilities to govern UMNO and make it stronger again. Najib has all the talent to make UMNO, the ‘UMNO’ again. But by doing so, Najib will only bring down the legacy of his late father.

A stronger UMNO will only pose death to BN. A stronger UMNO will mean more corruption to fill the thirsty Division leaders. A stronger UMNO will mean more divide and rule concepts. A stronger UMNO will mean more racial problems.

A stronger UMNO will mean arrogance!

Even at its weakest point in life, UMNO members remain arrogance. While some of them happily agreed with the opposition and point the finger to Abdullah, they as usual failed to see their four fingers are pointing back at them. What brought Abdullah down is not the opposition, but UMNO itself. The oppositions are merely taking advantage by pouring petrol into the already open burning within UMNO. Sooner than expected UMNO succumbed to the opposition’s psychological warfare and they themselves butchered Abdullah, as what the opposition wanted them to do.

When Abdullah took office, he is praised as the clean man and with all the combinations of factors and reforms, he almost wiped out the PKR and PAS from Parliament and recapture Kelantan. He had unite the Malay like nothing ever been seen since 1986.

Who had made it impossible for Abdullah to bring reform? Remember IPCMC as an example? A lot of protest came within UMNO itself. Who had collaborated in organising a campaign to bring Abdullah down before the PRU 12, well it is certain UMNO members itself? Soon, in order to survive the UMNO, Abdullah had to succumb to money politics and dived into the world of corrupt politics filled with cronyism and nepotism.

For the third time, I will repeat myself, Abdullah came into power as a clean man and the morale of the story is, Najib is not. Whether Najib is clean or not it is not the issue, the issue is, Najib is not perceived as a clean man. Najib came with heavy liability hanging over his head. Najib is followed everywhere with the burden of undisputed psychological warfare by the oppositions. No doubt that Najib definitely will be able to handle these, as the he is currently the undisputed toughest man from UMNO.

Unfortunately, Najib is not known as reformer. Many already perceived that Najib would bring UMNO back to the way it is managed under Mahathir. Najib has read well what happen to his predecessor for going against Tun. He will not repeat the mistake but to follow and obey the Great Man but by doing so under the current climatic problem world which rapidly being re-craft by the wind of change would only mark disaster to UMNO’s partner in BN.

Najib has to choose to either bring UMNO to its knee or being remembered as the son who crumbled his father’s legacy. Reading by politics in UMNO since PRU12, UMNO would remain stubborn in keeping status quo and UMNO blood, is surely very thick in Najib than others.

UMNO under Najib soon will only be the same UMNO, crippled by money politics, lingered with the smell of hatred and run by those who adored corrupt practices. These is the brand call UMNO, hiding behind the word “Agama, Bangsa dan Negara”.

Come PRU13, some who voted the opposition will return to vote for UMNO for its promise of Malay superiority while the new generation and the rest of non-Malays will continue their fight to be Malaysian.

It would be tough for Najib, who until today about to be the only UMNO president voted into the presidency without the pleasure and power of becoming the Prime Minister first.

Isu Berita Harian – Mengapa Jadi Begini?

23 10 2008

2. Projek Kampus Universiti Malaysia Kelantan.

21 November 2008 – I hope Pak Lah is Still The PM

17 10 2008

“Saya perlu datang semula 21 November, jaminan polis disambung sebulan lagi… polis memerlukan masa untuk mengendalikan siasatan mereka,” kata beliau ketika dihubungi sebentar tadi.

Sheih’s Notes,

Dear Friends,
I arrived at The Cyber and Multimedia Crime Department of the Bukit Aman’s CCID office at 10 am today accompanied by a member from UMNO Kepala Batas. I am a bit frustrated to know that they yet going to charge me. Nevertheless I shall keep on waiting. I have all the time in this world to play this waiting game.

I am sad that the police department is being used to put psychological pressure on me by extending my police bail until 21 Novermber 2008. They have my sympathy.

Please forgive me for not being able to update my blog more often this week because I am preparing myself with all the information and evidence to fight my case in court. Rest assured, I shall be back very very soon.

Salaam!

Najib To Swear in As PM By Next Week?

8 10 2008

Najib may be the next Prime Minister of Malaysia by October 14 2008 and BN will be in power at least until November 9 2008.

Scary? Hmmm.

It is no point of letting Dollah to prolong his misery. He will be a lonely man taking the journey through the fading tunnel alone.

UMNO elites will be busy with their business of survival and nobody will care about Dollah’s dream of ending his premiership in high note.

Meanwhile, my brother Rocky and me may take the lonely journey too as our buddy Dollah is no more the fella we used to live our life for.

Do Swee Dah Nyah Lah! We will miss you.

I Am No King, I Am Just The Last Pawn.

6 10 2008

In a game of Chess when all the pieces have fallen, a lone surviving pawn can turn into a powerful queen if it reaches the end of the board. In a game of politics, if you are not the king, make sure you are that surviving pawn.

Did Malaysian future First-Lady bought 14 wristwatches worth RM 7 million in a shopping spree in Hong Kong?

Well, no wonder whom ever who broke into my house do not even bother to take my wristwatch because mine is the “branset” or better known as “Cap Ayam” type compared to the diamond studded Rolex which cost RM500,000 each.

Did Rolex actually cost that much? I don’t know. But I know that I once fall in love with a Tag Heuer that cost around RM2,500. I save my money for it but, when I had enough, I changed my mind and I rather to continue to love the watch that I shall never buy then buy the watch and never to use it because I feel guilty of spending so much money on it.

I was told by my source that the lady bought those watch as a gifts to few peoples in certain Ministries.

People asked me why I did not reveal my source, I told them, in western countries, reporters rather go to prison then exposing their source. I shall do the same.

People told me what I have written is all lies until I furnish the evidence to support it. I asked those people, what about when the Government sent people to Kamunting under ISA, did the government release the evidence to the public or at least present it in the Parliament.

I still remember during the ‘Operasi Lalang’ the ‘kertas putih’ was released in Parliament to support Government decision under Tun Dr. Mahathir’s administration to detain these people under the ISA.

Did we see any ‘kertas putih’ on the Hindraf, Raja Petra Kamaruddin and those Jemaah Islamiyah detainees?

When the Government claimed that Hindraf’s leaderships have some connection with the Tamil Tigers, let us ask where is the evidence? When the government accused Raja Petra Kamaruddin as inciting unrest by insulting Islam, let us ask, where is the evidence?

I am just asking for a level playing field from those UMNO’s ‘toilet paper’ boys. If you do not have balls to taste your own medicine, then just move aside please.

By the way, I heard Najib has sodomised Abdullah pretty hard that Abdullah cannot even sit on the premier seat without tears flowing like a stream. My father always reminded me, not to kick a man when he is down. For that, perhaps time has come for me to make peace with Pak Lah.

It is not nice for us to let Abdullah goes into the history book and being remembered in disgrace as “Bapa Kemaluan”. Pak Lah should fight to defend his premiership and go down in dignity.

Because the moment your cease from becoming the president, those UMNO ‘toilet paper’ boys will be to occupy to wipe your successor’s ass. It will be left to us, the people who you take for granted to take care of you. I hope if you actually learned something from your premiership, it is the fate of your predecessor is the lesson.

So, I make a sumpah to myself, if tomorrow or come Wednesday, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi decided to stand fighting for another term as the President of UMNO, I shall stop kicking him.

When you hurt the people of your own kind, I am the first to crucify you, but when you are hurt and fighting for your dignity as a man, I shall be the first to support you!

You have my word Dollah. And this is Kickdefella not the UMNO ‘toilet paper’ boys making the sumpah. Trust me Dollah. Please trust me… so Please trust me. If you don’t trust me then just declare that you going to stand for the election so you can see how truthful am I. He he he…

Kickdefella’s House Ransacked!

5 10 2008

My Family and I just arrived back from our Hari Raya Holiday with my in-laws in Johore.

We arrived home to a welcoming sight of our master bedroom in disarray. This is the second break-in since my returned to Kelantan.

During the first time last year, I filed a police report but no outcome from it.

Lucky for us, nothing much were taken except for RM100 from Guli’s ‘piggy bank’.

My wife’s tiny gold bracelet and my wrist-watch were not taken despite it is in the drawer that ‘they’ turn up side down. Syukur.
