Dearest Chai Kee,

Yes, I will agree with my critics that said I am paid to spin (It is a compliment actually). Nevertheless sometimes I wish to thank to those BN YBs for making my work much easier.

Please take a look at those pictures that I attached with this email. What did it tells you. Am I spinning something?

In the first picture, seat number 1 is reserved to the Opposition Leader, YB Kok Lanas, Annuar Musa. After he got smashed by all the facts on Lojing and KADA’s involvement as the culprit causing environmental disaster by Dato’ Husam during the morning session, he went out to the press and makes all sorts of accusation. We all eagerly waited for him to come back in the afternoon session because we would love to ask him to repeat what he just said to the press in front of all the Members of State Assembly. Nevertheless, either he is too coward or to busy with other matters, he choose not to attend the afternoon session.

Seat number two is reserved for YB of Ayer Lanas, Mustapha Mohamed. After challenging Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz, the day before, to make sure all the toilet in the mosque all over Kelantan is clean before September, he rather choose to skip today’s session altogether. This makes us wonder, is he somewhere in Jeli cleaning the entire toilet or in some university doing the same thing.

Seat number three reserved for YB Gual Ipoh, Hashim Saffin. After complaining the day before that he was not given the due respect because the speaker always overlooked in giving him the chance to join the debate, he was given 50 minutes that particular day and continued with another 30 minutes today. However, in the afternoon session, he went missing although there are 2 other bills to be tabled and plenty of chance to join the debate. This makes us wonder, is he too exhausted after speaking more than one hour? Did this joker just say that he wants to be involved in all debates?

Compare the picture number one with the second picture? Do I need to spin my dear?

Dearest Chai Kee,

What should I say about the last two pictures? If a picture paint a thousand words, then we can have two thousand words or more to spin about these two. However, to think of it, it needs no single word.

According to UMNO sources, they have only 10 safe state seats that they believe they can win coming next election. Well I would say, yes, by the performance of their YBs and judging from their attendance and participation, that is the most for them.

If they cannot even sit still for two days sitting, then why the hell did Sinar Harian claimed that the two days sitting is too short? In fact Sinar Harian claimed that this is the shortest sitting ever. Hello, let me refer to the document that I received which listed that Perlis had 1 day sitting in 5 April 2007.

Terengganu will have one day sitting in August 2007. Kedah will have one day sitting also in August 2007. Pahang too will have one day sitting in August 2007. Meanwhile Johore will have one day sitting in September 2007. So, is Sinar Harian going to apologise to the Kelantan State Assembly.

All the State Assembly above is controlled by Barisan Nasional. Judging by the performance of their colleague in Kelantan, I shall rest my case.

UMNO wants state to stop granting the building of Non Muslim place of worship? (Update 27 June 2007)

26 06 2007

tumpat-sitting-buddha-6.jpg

BN State Assemblyman from Semerak demanded Pas controlled State Government to control on the development of non Muslim place for worshipping by citing some of the temples in Tumpat and in Bachok, the BN Representative from UMNO said such building is a mark of challenge to Islam.

As Kelantan is famously known as Serambi Mekkah (The corridor of Mecca), allowing such liberty is a sign of contradiction of the Islamic representation by the State.

The assemblyman said this while debating on an amendment to one of the state’s law during the afternoon session.

Meanwhile in Kuala Lumpur the Hadhari Government allowed this and read the comment by Rocky here.

Where is Tok Pa?

26 06 2007

state-dun-1.jpg

Today sitting saw Annuar Musa arrived fifteen minutes early but until the end of the morning session, Dato’ Mustapha Mohamed is nowhere to be seen. Is there a conflict between Annuar Musa and Tok Pa?

The weird thing about Tok Pa disappearance was that, he posted a written question which is question number 10 for today’s proceeding. It is a waste for a YB to post a question but he is not around when the question was call.

Nevertheless Annuar Musa appearance after leading the walk out yesterday manage to fill the house with laughter with all the sarcasm exchanges between both the government representatives, the Backbenchers and the oppositions.

At one point Annuar Musa and Dato’ Husam fire up the dewan when Dato’ Husam stood up to answer the question posted by Annuar Musa on the Lojing Issues.

To read more on the question and the answer please check the updates on www.husammusa.com.

Immediately after the morning session adjourned, Annuar Musa makes a press conference and deliberate on accusation towards a state exco. An accusation which he blatantly tried to mention in the House without any relevancy towards the debate.

BN Leaves Kelantan State Assembly (Now they are leaderless)

25 06 2007

dun-1.jpg

Update

BN Assemblymen left the State Assembly after they fail to tabled five motions. The speaker rejected those motions which involved, Skim Pelan Takaful Kifalah, Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd and three other motions. The Speaker decided that it is not necessary to debate the motions.

While at Dewan Rakyat today, the motion by MP of Kubang Kerian, YB Sallehuddin Ayub was rejected by the Speaker in Chamber citing the reason that the house only allow one motion to be tabled in one day. YB Sallehudin did not leave the house despite his motion being rejected.

Just imagine what going to happen if the Speaker of Kelantan State Assembly allows five motions to be heard in a single day?

Meanwhile this morning, local newspaper, Sinar Harian, already highlight that today’s sitting will be on fire as the BN representatives will go all out to demand for the motions to be heard. The newspaper claimed that Annuar Musa will question the credibility of the State Assembly for denying their motions. Nevertheless, besides showing his gloomy face, Annuar Musa did nothing except for standing up one or twice and than just left the room never to return for the day.

5 BN representatives do not join the sitting despite being around the State Assembly. Some sources claimed that the 5 BN representatives did not agree with Annuar’s decision which may has been pre plan earlier, to walk out of the house.

Ironically, all the 5 BN representatives join the afternoon session with all BN representatives. However, Annuar Musa is nowhere to be seen the whole evening. Is there a friction after the walk out among the BN representatives with Annuar Musa?

Where is Annuar Musa? Why is the opposition leader not around when he fired the pre emptive in Sinar Harian?

Why did Mustapha Mohamed take charge for BN in the afternoon session? The claimed by Sinar Harian’s headline on the front page “Sidang DUN Tegang” seems not happening after all. Sinar Harian also reported that this sitting which is for two days is the shortest and that for sure is a blatant lie. I am not sure why Sinar Harian’s editorial did not do their homework before making such pre emptive attacked on the State Assembly. (For reader information, Kedah, Perlis and few other states used and planning to have their sitting for only a day).

Mustapha Mohamed left the house at 16:06 while the BN representatives still debating the “Enakmen Perbekalan Tambahan (2007). So, what is actually happening with BN Kelantan? Annuar Musa is not around and To Pa decided to leave early? At the end of today’s session, BN Kelantan is leaderless.

Original Posting

After merely fifteen minutes of sitting, BN Assemblymen lead by Annuar Musa left en masse the State Assembly.

All the BN Assemblymen rather choose to be resting in the holding room as they might find that is a more appropriate space for them comparing to being in the proceeding.

Earlier, immediately after the State Assembly began its proceeding, ADUN BN Bukit Bunga started complaining about the speaker’s decision one after the other. Annuar Musa soon joins in with his salvo and followed by Mustapha Mohamed.

Kelantan: The Other Side of the Coin

23 06 2007

yb-takii-anuar-tan-and-husam.jpg

YB Dato’ Takiyudin Hj Hassan, YB Dato’ Anuar Tan and YB Dato’ Husam

When you love somebody, you have to be honest with them. If not, you are mere taking advantage of the person.

By now, most of us have fall in love with Kelantan. Do not matter who we are and whether we are politically motivated or not. Let us see the other coin and help the state government of Kelantan to improve more.

cow-in-the-city.jpg

Cow in the city

Contrary to many believe, once you step out of Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Pengkalan Chepa, you will realize, Kelantan is not a poor state after all. Yes, we might have limited resources yet Kelantan has developed well for a state that is always being discriminate by the big brother. And if you take a cab from the airport, don’t be surprised the fee is RM20.00 for a mere ten minutes drive.

Nevertheless, besides the achievement in manipulating the limited resources to develop the state, there are still lots of avenue for change. Yet, the problem we are facing more a less the same problem in any third world country.

There are two places that caught me, first the place called Kedai Lalat (Flies’s Town) few kilometers from Kota Bharu and the next place is called Panggung Lalat (Flies’s Cinema) near Kuala Betis in Gua Musang. I always wonder why such name was given to such a decent place. To be honest with you, flies are a huge problem in Kelantan (and other rural area too in other parts of the world).

One night as Dato’ Husam, Bro Rudin X and I were sipping our coffee in Secret Recipe, KB Mall, and one fly constantly attacking the blueberry cheesecake. He he, if you can imagine this, than imagine other type of shops. Yes I have worst episode with those flies in Ulu Yam and in Pedu, Kedah, but isn’t Kelantan a city develop based on religion believes. Isn’t every religion push for cleanliness?

The cleanliness in the City of Kota Bharu has improved a lot compared to early nineties when PAS first took over the government. Yet, it is merely satisfactory. We need it to be excellent.

Nevertheless one thing that never improved is the drainage system. Many houses within Kota Bharu itself do not have proper drainage system. Some may argue that it will cause a fortune to solve this problem, but argument along will bring us nowhere. The municipal council will need to push and lobby for a proper drainage system in the entire housing are. Bad drainage system breads millions of mosquitoes every day. Aren’t mosquitoes dangerous?

The Patrons

Living in a small city will always be associated with laid-back attitude. However if you are in the customer service business or if you are a company secretary you have no liberty to be so bloody slow. But yes they are truly damn slow. I believe one company secretary which is a subsidiary of the state agency is the worst kind of all. I thought every religion asked us to work honestly, diligently and efficiently?

Some of the company for example Syarikat Kenderaan Melayu Kelantan (SKMK) has been there for ages and it monopoly the bus routes in Kelantan, Where are they now? They still the same Salah Konner Mapuih Keras company. Giving their record of accomplishment, they should already be there in Wall Street.

Well folks that is the starter. I need some help from the Kelantanese living in Kelantan and outside Kelantan and for all of the readers to give me more. I may be right, I maybe wrong but as I say, Kelantan is not a normal state, we based ourselves on religion. All religion has their universal values. No religions promote negative values.

So folks, the expectations are high. Although the politician working hard to implement the proper policies, it can only work if the executives and the civil service, the municipal councils and other agencies are gear up for it. And do not forget the mentality of the people too. First class facilities, third class mentalities, mmm, it sounds so Putrajaya.

Kelantan: This is Malaysia V

21 06 2007

husm-mutu1.jpg

Mutukumar was born in Kedah but he had migrated for economic reason to Kelantan 15 years ago. Six months ago, a gas cylinder which he worked on exploded and roasted his right leg. Since then he has been staying in Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia, in Kubang Kerian.

husm-mutu2.jpg

Mutukumar is not an actor and he do not even has his own car (plagiarised from Michael Learns to Rock) but yesterday, he felt like one. He got a VIP visitor. Although the splashing flashes are not for him, it does not bother. He felt honoured. He felt so proud. For few second, he forgets his pain. For the rest of the night, he was smiling.

While Mutukumar was surprised by the visit by a man he proudly called a Brother, Adik Fitri Abdullah was so excited when he was informed that Dato’ Husam is going to visit him that evening.

husm-adik-fitri-2.jpg

He requested for his baju raya. And when the entourage arrived, he put his best smile. Adik Fitri was among the recipient under the Bantuan Orang Kurang Upaya. In lay man term, Adik Fitri’s lung has failed him. His has a collapse lung. Nevrtheless, yesterday, he was the superstar. He beat Dato’ Husam as the best dress person in the room.

husm-adik-fitri1.jpg

I always against the idea of visiting the Hospital for political millage, however yesterday, I came to understand, the importance of such visit for the sick and disable.

husm-citing-the-prayer.jpg

husm-all-smilling.jpg

The flashes, the crowd and the reward, and at the end of the day, when everything subsides, the smiles linger.

Well, it is not right to just talk good things about Kelantan. While all races integrated well and the government respected all races, there is still a lot of avenue for improvement. So maybe we could talk about the other side of the coin too. Shall we?

Kelantan: This is Malaysia IV

19 06 2007

Annuar Musa stood up in State Assembly and slammed that Kelantan is the last state to implement Skim Takaful Kifalah. This is the way Annuar Musa thanked the state government effort for not robbing the poor but helping them, instead.

Skim Takaful Kifalah is a social security scheme for senior citizen. Any Kelantanese above the age of sixties can join this scheme. It was launch on the 7 February 2007 by Tuan Guru Dato’ Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat. This scheme is managed by The Menteri Besar Corporation with Tabung Amanah Tok Kenali carries the management responsibilities.

Upon death, the family will receive immediate payment of RM500.00 and balance RM2, 000.00 will follow soon after.

This scheme is open to all races and religions. Up to date 97,000 have join the scheme which totalling to 70% of qualified senior citizen in Kelantan. The breakdown according to races is 85% Malays, 10% Chinese, 2% Indians and the balance 3% are Siamese and others.

According to the record by Tabung Amanah Tok Kenali, average death is 350 persons per month. All families of the decease have received the payment according to schedule.

Recently we heard that Selangor is planning to launch a similar scheme. So, Kelantan is not the last state to launch it after all. From what we know, Kelantan is actually the first state to have such scheme. I leave that to the reader to comment.

Death can come pretty expensive for the poor. Furthermore, knowing that upon their death, at least some of the burdens are taken care of financially will help the senior citizen a lot.

Catch Me If You Can

16 06 2007

moderation.jpg

Since joining the state government of Kelantan, the number of hits I received has dropped 40%. The number of attacks I received has increase. Originally I have no plan to moderate any of the comments. I just let everyone comment what they want and let other comments on other commenters.

Until late one night I received a call from my bro from Miri who requested me to go online immediately. Since then I have to do minimal moderation using the facilities provided by wordpress.

I have frequently received emails requesting me to stop Monsterball from commenting on my blog. I gave my reason through emails and also in the blog, the reason why I choose not. Nevertheless, the statistic from wordpress keep increasing even many claimed not going to visit this blog any longer.

When I started blogging about Kelantan, then only the paradigm shifted. While I enjoyed new visitors whom mostly are non-malays, most of the Pro Mahathir camp, choose to stop visiting this blog. No offence.

I enjoyed positive comments and criticism which mostly are very useful for me to understand the nature of human sentiments when it comes to certain policies and activities. I appreciated the comments and most of the times I print all your comments and discussed it with the relevant parties. I call it the beauty of the blog.

Basically this weblog have helped my work a lot.

After the Ijok’s by-election, I received a very disturbing info from a brother regarding certain personal attacks on me which questioning my loyalty to All Blogs. I shared this info immediately with Bro Rocky and Shar of OBE although I did not compromise the info I got.

One day I had a strange conversation with Rudin X of Mimpi Boneka and he pinpointed to me the locality of certain IPs. I knew then the game is on.

Last night I shared few short messages with Bro Bakaq of Penarik Beca and he gave me more information about certain emails that has been circulating.

After discussing with Bro Bakaq, I am now going to publish few of the less offensive comments by one or two persons who are using different IPs. Please forgive me for publishing this because it contains some of the words than we do not normally compromise.

The commenter is playing certain game and sometime robbing some innocent commenter’s nick.

The below evidences are considered 18SX.

Received an early morning phone call from Dato’ Husam asking why I resign from ALL BLOGS. Never had the chance to thank him for his concern, though. But the whole episode reminds me of my conversation with Bro Rocky three days after I was offered to return to Kelantan.

Rocky told me this, “Take the job bro, if they paid you in Dinar Emas even better!”. My Dad Mr Zorro also agreed with Rocky’s decision. Daddy Zorro however a bit concern about my children. “You have young kids…” He said.

Those are among the few people whom I consulted.

Later, few days before I left, I had lunch in Starbucks with Papa Monty. He said this, “Go there and continue your mission as a Malaysian”.

Now, I am back in Kelantan for almost two months after self asylum for 17 years. I am here, proudly as a Malaysian.

Resignation as Member of ALL BLOGS Pro Tem Committee

14 06 2007

As I wake up in the middle of the night to change my mum’s diaper, I spend sometime thinking of me, being 70 and I am not the Ex Prime Minister of Malaysia or a Millionaire whom can afford to hire people to do it for me.

At the same time, I have lots of debt that yet to sort out. Loan with the banks and the credit company. Stranded in a small Island in the middle of the sea alone with sharks waiting to have me for their meal.

Many times people come to question my stubbornness to keep standing by this 68 years old SS Goh. My mum might be an angel to me, but her grumpiness and hot temper can be disruptive to others. But, still, people are polite enough to say, she’s old, she’s sick, she need the attention.

SS Goh is lucky to be IT literate so he can spend most of his time sharing his opinion with strangers over the net. My Mum is not.

My late father shared the same fate like my mum. My brother in law will have to print those anti Mahathir’s article on the net and put into his mail box the next morning. He will then call use to talk about the current issues that he just read. Most of the time, we do not have time to talk about that with him, because we have our own life to live and in my case, I do not trust what were written in the net about Mahathir whom I love so much.

If my late father is IT literate, he might had posted his opinion on the blogs etc. He believed he deserved his opinion and he believed, we, the younger generation should listen to him because, he had fought for what we have enjoyed today. Well that is his opinion. We may not share it and we whom are pro Mahathir then might have gone and bash him. He will feel that he did not get the respect from us and will fight back in demand of acknowledgement.

Then after things have gone out of proportions, we, the young and capable go and search for all the personal information and published it on the net. So, the whole world can read how my father owned his credit card companies without even can service the interest for twenty years. So the whole world can see that how much money we the family members owed the private hospitals because we wanted all of us to feel comfortable in the hospital etc etc.

Is this what we as bloggers are fighting for. Well, maybe the answer will come to BigDog, Simon, A Voice, Shar and me when we are in our seventies.

Till then, I would rather feel more comfortable to walk with my beloved Bro Rocky and Bro Jeff while waiting to walk with SS GOH to court when the Finance Company starts suing him courtesy of us.

Resignation as Member of ALL BLOGS Pro Tem Committee

After reading the posting and comments on my Brother Shar 101’s blog, I came to realised that it is time for me to leave ALL BLOGS.

It is now clear that my relationship with Mr SS GOH has cause so much tension and this may disrupt the unity that I dream within the blogosphere. As such, for the benefit of ALL BLOGS, let me not put my baggage on such a glorious achievement that marked the Malaysian Bloggers unification.

I always believe in my Brother Rocky and Jeff and the rest of the Pro Tem Committee. Go ahead and achieve our dream. I am always proud of you all.

Regards,

Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz

Kelantan : This Is Malaysia II

13 06 2007

Petronas Twin Tower, Sepang F1 Circuit, KLIA etc are amongst the landmarks and development that make us proud to be Malaysians. No matter what the critics will tell you, but those developments truly have made us so united.

I respected those critics that against government u-turn in calling Bahasa Melayu as Bahasa Malaysia again. But, I applauded the move. I truly believe it is our language and should be name after us, Malaysia!

I am very happy that lately PAK LAH chose to increase the salary for civil servants, and that will also mean I shall benefit from it. I congratulate QUEPACS for a job well done. Let’s not politicise such decision. I have again found hope in our Prime Minister, the hope that I used to have when he was first in power.

Nevertheless, if the government failed to control the increase in the prices of goods, it will only mean two things, first, the increment will mean nothing and secondly, those who do not benefit from the increment will have to suffer more and more.

Marrying my late drinking buddy’s ex wife, Datin Seri Jean(ne) Danker also mark my new respect for Pak Lah. Unfortunately, The KL people had to suffer because after their first night, KL got flooded. Mmm! No, I do not mean to say PAK LAH pancut until the whole KL flooded.

I really hope Sazmi Miah will blame the flood to the destruction of Lojing because he seems to think (Did he has that capability) that there is no more tree in Lojing. So, I want to apologise to DBKL and KL folks, because we in Kelantan cut all the trees than you guys had to clean the mud that cause by our disruptive behaviour.

As you know, we in Kelantan are really brutal. We love people like Annuar Musa because he really work hard to eradicate the money for the poor people. We adore people like Annuar Musa because he has sacrificed his wife to polish our new first Lady’s shoes even before we can think of how to show our appreciation to the new first Lady.

We the Kelantanese love scandals that we kept our mouth shut from asking Najib Tun Razak, why on earth did he signed few letters to foreign embassies requesting visa on behalf of a Mongolian lady to travel to certain parts of Europe with him and his buddy whom shared his father’s name.

So to continue my serial on Kelantan: This is Malaysia, I am going to show how we had sell our state to our Chinese friends by never stopping them to build schools, temples, restaurants etc. Oops, actually, we do not know that they are Chinese, we taught they are Malaysian. Mmm, aren’t the Chinese, Indian and others are Malaysian too? Are we wrong for sharing our treeless state with all races?
