Ketika NST menyiarkan penjelasannya mengenai kartun yang diangap menghina Nabi Muhammad s.’a.w., yang saya anggap ditulis oleh Kalimullah, atau di hadapan matanya atau disemak oleh matanya (yang saya tak tau hatinya ke mana), saya yang loqlaq ini bertanya tentang konsep kebebasan bersuara yang depa perjuangkan dalam salah satu tulisan saya:

For more than 2 years I have been boombasted….insulted and rediculed defending Pak Lah …especially in MT site. I felt proud defending a rigtheous man…..UNTIL FEW DAYS ago he announced huge millions to retore HIS OWN SCHOOL!! Thousands are suffering at Johore and RM billions needed to build dams and dykes to make sure they will never suffer again..like what China did. Does he really care or simply do not know. He maybe making alot of money foer the government..but that’s is not the way to spend OUR MONEY!!
Unless he announced he was “misquoted’ to cover up his stupidity…I declare openly voting for the opposition….any opposition and hope millions will follow to cut the arragont UMNO out from our lives permanently.
Ofcourse…I may change my mind for the love of our country more than my own self….if PM knows he is actually becoming the Napolean and apologise. POLITICS IS TRULLY DIRTY AND CUNNING IN MALAYSIA ….AND POLITICIANS HOLDING POWERS ARE MUCH TOO GREEDY!!
So….yes I will support the boycott of the paper……..only after the trial. I will not jump into any conclusion. I am more concern what will our senior school student and young people just starting to work be reading….thrash magazines??
For me personally…no problem right now…stop buying….but we must all learn to be calm and farsighted for the love of Malaysia.
Patrick Teoh’s “Niamah” site is much to be admired. Infact…it was Pat who exposed the corruptions of the police force 30 years ago and got into huge trouble.
He is still a real brave man ….but interested only facts…not rumours. So the fact that Pak Lah wants to please himself to restore his own school….he can go fuck spiders.

Like I said….I love Malaysia more than what my personal feeelings desires.
All here wants justice, fair play and freedom of speeches and ofcourse vote UMNO out to get them. I fully agree…but I still feel very strongly against boycotting the ST paper. As we have Star and Sun and MMail is not like before…’evening news’ paper…but trying to compete with thrash magazines…so it is a thrash paper.
Young generations must like to read newspapers everyday…..even pro this or that papers.
It is like knowing football games are mostly fixed by bookies…does not mean you cannot enjoy watching the game. Just do not fall into the trap by betting.
Similarly if one is STRONG MINDED and can pick up an ‘enemy’ paper to read..not all news are bad. Some can educate readers. Educate who?? OLD FOX LIKE ME?? No… the youngsters and even now….I am still learning. Don’t tell me you all know so much….no need to learn anymore??
Lets presumeUMNO looses out next election…then S.Times becomes OPPOSITION NEWSPAPER and Star for the ruling party. Can we guarantee those politicians not as crooked as UMNO’s?. GE is coming closer…and Government needs to stop strong left-sided opinions as fast as possible (if they could!) from internet-savvy, potential and influential voters (we, bloggers). You know, government-controlled media couldn’t do it. The failed merger couldn’t do it.

Warrior2, is part of the gang of macai.net and kpmu, amaterish cyber warriors of PL/KJ under Dr Vincent Lim and Dato Azlina.
Their websites have been generating spins and outrite lies. However, they have not attracted the audience. Their websites had refused comments on their articles because they couldn’t convincingly defend the critical comment to the article posted on their webs. This are just a few and they couldn’t handle it.
Recently their alliance formed a blog called Siber Party of Malaysia in response to the huge support to the campaign and unity call orchestrated by kickdefella.
Now they as a group have attacked all blogs with the common message that freedom of speech has a limit when it is defamatory. Apart from warrior2, you wil see names like Muhammad Abdullah, Mydeen Aboo Backer, juslo, and many others spamming their views all over blogosphere.

I have posted and urge Amir Muhammad and Yasmin Ahmad on their blog to withdraw their column to protest whats doe on Malik Imtiaz. (I am no fan of Malik Imtiaz but support him in this cause)

Booting as in giving them a kick in the ass to hit the road! I thought your concern was for the continuity of the NST institution and promoting the reading habit in the younger generations? If I am a shareholder, I would ask them to show what they have done to improve the value of the company and on the non-financial side, what they have done to uphold the non-financial objectives other than being the government propaganda machine. I can be very sure from the websites they are hitting, all these can be gathered with ease.
My suggestion, promote the young to get a PC and monitor where they surve. You will be surprised at how much more they can learn than propaganda news from NST.
As for ex-NST people, I do not see any issue in venting their frustration. Even you seem to be constantly looking for people to engage conversation or arguments.
One way we can add pressure on NST is to buy shares in NST … smalllots and create ruckus during their AGM or EGM.
Form a shareholders group and write to all instutional shareholders of NST to demand the sacking of Kalimullah and gang for they are diminishing the value of NST with poor jurnalism and bad management.

congratulations on your declaration of war with NST. Being an exNST man myself, i feel sad over the recent developments with NST. I feel bad telling my kids that the NST today is a poor shadow of itself when Pak Samad, Pak Dahari, Philip and many other real journos were running the paper. It has no reedeeming value – except maybe to cover fish in the market or use for kacang putih….
u know what I now think that Utusan should have merged or bought over NST and then cleanse it…from the evils that lay inside it. Anyway, the public needs to put faces to the names that has been mentioned: Namely Kali and Co. Could you do posters with their faces? They shouldn’t be faceless now..they should be exposed to the public excpecially the Malay masses so that if they do meet them on the street, they could just fire off their mouths at these people who are killing a national institution for their own selfish ends.
