Bander Please Keep The Quran
30 12 2006“He did not ask for anything. He was carrying a Quran and said: ‘I want this Quran to be given to this person,’ a man he called Bander,” he (Saddam) said.
Saddam Hussein, a father and a son of someone, so those who died during his time in power.
I shall wait for the official statement by the Chairman of OIC.
I shall wait for the official statement by the PM of Malaysia.
As I live and breath, I still managed to kiss my kids every morning and put them to bed every night. As I too a son and a father to someone.
Bander, who ever you are, I believe you too a son and a father to someone. Keep the Quran well and read it for them.

I am sad that Saddam is killed like this. Killed by the vengeful Shiites. He is an old man. In Islamic rule of war, old man must be spared torture and death sentence.
Killing Saddam will only make the Shiites just like Saddam himself.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind…..so said Gandhi
Hope the Iraqis forget their tribal differences and unite and start recollecting their greatness like China did…minding their own business and open their minds and sprit for what they are good at.
Iraq was a centre of many great inventions….all forgotten and stolen by the whites.
What were those things they are great at…they must start remembering as a united country people and fight with their brains…not with their hands holding guns.
There are many tribes in China and India….yet they live together peacefully as one …Chinese and Indians. Why can’t Iraq learn from these countries?
Also tiny Malaysia…so easy to unite…why make it so difficult by UMNO all these 50 years?
We all know why…don’t we??
Divide to rule by playing race and religion dirty politics.
Our flag is copied from America. That was supposed to be an inspiration to be a very free nation.
Our master was the British….great law makers and great management people…but USA has the bad side…..how to find and make a sucker every minute..superb con man politicians.
The British expert to divide and rule.
Notice our politicians learn only the bad. so quickly…and ignore the good teacherings??
Like the Knights Templars…some has to start doing the dirty job by cleaning all the filts and dirt inUMNO.
Can Pah Lah succeed??
If not….let the oppositions the OPPORTUNITY TO TRY……..CANNOT BE WORST THAN UMNO. I purposely leave out the other parties coining the word “Barisan National” They have no say in important matters…..period.
2 years not very long….lets see some UMNO kingpins in jail for corruptions and Tun SalLeh case open. Otherwise ….lets vote the oppositions….any party.
Grumble, mumble, mutter, stutter, rant, rave, moan and groan.
Why wait for Pak Lah to speak? Would it make a difference? Saddam is dead! He faced death squarely in its face!
Learn from that. Do. Not talk!
Vote for the Siber Party of Malaysia (M). We do, not talk!
Hansac,
Saddam was killed by the INVADERS, the #1bleepingterroristnation. Make no mistake!
In the following two posts, I’d like to append two articles you and other visitors of Sheih’s blog may want to peruse to get a picture of Iraq’s late President filtered of most of western media demonization.
May we strive always to be better-informed!

SADDAM MADE IRAQ WORTH FIGHTING FOR
Malcom Lagauche
December 30, 2006
For the past hour, I have been fidgeting and going from website-to-website to see when the inevitable words would appear on the screen. About five minutes ago, they did. Aljazeera News had a moving banner at the top of its site that read: Unconfirmed reports say that Saddam Hussein has been hanged in Baghdad. At least the anxiety of those who admired Saddam is over. Soon, headlines will herald the violence that emanates from his hanging.
Vilified by western analysts, politicians, and journalists for years, it is nothing short of miraculous that Saddam lasted as long as he did. Many of the left are just as responsible for his demise as are the neocons they lambaste. Scribe-after-scribe has demeaned Saddam Hussein since 1990, most of the time relaying lies and myths about the man and his Ba’ath Party. No lie was too big if it was sensational enough to acquire headlines. I won’t go into them now because, in the past three years, I have chronicled all the nonsense that authors on the left have levied against Saddam. Their writing made in unnecessary for the right to denigrate Saddam because they outdid the preposterous stories that had preceded their articles.
Many people should be held as murderers for the president’s hanging. Not just the hangman, but everyone who fueled the fire of hatred against him, including members of the “progressive” press who helped pass on the lies.
It is preposterous to see how the eventual hanging of Saddam unfolded. A bunch one-time Iraqis who had not lived in the country for decades were flown into Iraq by U.S. to run the country. A bible-toting imbecile (Paul Bremer) changed the country’s laws and constitution, as well as took away state ownership of crucial industries. A fiction writer would not be able to write such an unlikely scenario.
Many ironies are involved in this debacle. For one, many of those Iraqis who opposed Saddam but never left the country and who are now cheering his death, benefited greatly from the programs instituted in Saddam’s time, such as the excellent education system and the finest healthcare system in the Middle East, as well as an economy (pre-1991) that ensured most Iraqis a comfortable living. They have short memories.
Before Saddam Hussein and the Ba’ath Party came to power in Iraq, the country was indistinguishable from most other Arab countries. Sure, it had oil, but in those days, the world did not have the thirst for the commodity that it has today. In the 1970s, the government introduced many revolutionary aspects to Iraqi life: the equality of women; universal education; universal health care; much-improved public transportation; emphasis on science; etc.
By the 1980s, Iraq was thriving and was the crown jewel of the Middle East. But, along with the improvements came jealousy and greed. The U.S., because of its no-questions-asked affinity to Israel, had to take Iraq back a few notches. And, oil was now becoming a symbol of political world power, not just something to buy to keep a country’s power requirements in place.
In other words, Iraq was now worth fighting for. It no longer was the antiquated nation of a few decades ago. Saddam Hussein was the driving force behind the transformation of Iraq.
Gradually, the U.S., with other western powers, wanted some of Iraq’s action. Little-by-little, the country was degraded, beginning on January 17, 1991. Twelve years of an embargo weakened it further, but it did not kill Iraq. It took a disgusting invasion in March 2003 to finish the country off.
Today, Iraq has been totally destroyed, not just physically, but emotionally. All of Saddam’s enemies hold equal responsibility in the destruction. They not only murdered Saddam, but Iraq as well. But, they are not jubilant. Because of the tenacity of Saddam and much of the Iraqi population, they had to destroy everything before they took it over. Shortly after March 2003, some people and institutions, like Ahmed Chalabi and Haliburton, made a quick financial killing. Those days are gone. Today’s thieves in the stooge government can only count on small change to steal. The Iraqi people have already had everything they own, physically and emotionally, stolen.
Malaki may be happy today that he pushed Saddam’s execution by, along with U.S. collaboration, forming phony courts for mock trials. Soon, that mirth will give way to panic. Saddam Hussein made Iraq worth fighting for. The outsiders and the traitors dismantled his Iraq. However, there are many Iraqis (the resistance) who will now, a little at a time, rid the country of the stooges and the occupiers. Then, Iraq will again worth be fighting for, but the discredited purveyors of destruction will have been discredited and will not represent a threat. This will be Saddam Hussein’s legacy. The “mother of all battles” is far from over.
Saddam knew how his life would end. But, he also realized that his legacy would be part of the equation that will resurrect Iraq. He never sold out, even at the end, when he was offered many chances to be freed. He knew that if he sold out, he would have sold out Iraq. The new Iraq that will eventually come into being will have the same tenacity and pride that Saddam Hussein exhibited. The current resistance still has much housecleaning to perform, but the results are inevitable

Article#2:
The execution of the President
Statement by Abdul Ilah Albayaty, Ian Douglas, Hana Albayaty, Dirk Adriaensens, Inge Van De Merlen
December 30, 2006
The execution of President Saddam Hussein would be a grave war crime imputable under international law
The US-orchestrated tribunal that sentenced President Saddam Hussein has no legal standing
The imminent execution of Iraq’s lawful president is testimony to the gutting of international law by the Bush administration and its criminal partners
President Saddam Hussein is a prisoner of war with protected status under international law.[i] Further, he is the lawful president of the Republic of Iraq. He cannot be executed legally by the US occupation.
Under the Interim Constitution of Iraq of 1990 — which remains in force despite the illegal imposition of a permanent Iraqi constitution written by the United States — President Saddam Hussein, like heads of state worldwide, including in the US and Europe, is afforded sovereign immunity to prosecution.[ii]
That the US invaded Iraq illegally and established an illegal political process and a quisling Iraqi government only exacerbates the violation of President Saddam Hussein’s personal and sovereign rights and the affront to the whole of Iraq. His imminent execution is an attempt to establish, de facto, a global state of exception to law. Force cannot make just what law denies.
The US-led invasion of the Republic of Iraq was illegal and cannot be made legal by the execution of Iraq’s lawful president. The occupation is illegal and cannot survive by authoring new atrocities.
This mockery of law
The Iraqi Higher Criminal Court that passed a death sentence on President Saddam Hussein is a farce. Not only is it grounded on illegality (occupying powers under international law are expressly prohibited from changing the judicial structures of occupied states[iii]); the trial itself stands distinguished in legal history by its sheer number of due process and international standard of fairness violations.[iv]
These violations have included, often with systematic effect: American imposed censorship of court proceedings; withholding evidence from the defence; forcible ejection from court of defence lawyers and the placing of defence lawyers under house arrest; denial of defence counsel access to defendants; blatant lack of impartiality of court judges; overt political interference in the selection of court officials and the prejudicing of the trial and trial outcome by statements made by invested political figures — including George W Bush — affirming progress towards, or demanding, execution; the replacement of four of the five originally selected court judges; lack of equality of arms between the prosecution and the defence; refusals to accept key defence submissions, especially motions challenging the competence and legality of the court; violations of key fair trial principles and standards and international humanitarian law[v]; violation of Iraqi law[vi]; intimidation of witnesses; failure to ensure the security of the defence leading to the murder of three defence lawyers.
Created by Paul Bremer, the Iraqi Higher Criminal Court was never anything but a US-orchestrated puppet court.[vii] The imposition of a death sentence after an unfair trial stands in direct violation of international law.[viii]
The truth about this court
From day one, this court has been nothing but a smokescreen: an attempt to establish a veneer of legality to an illegal invasion of a sovereign state. From day one, the final conclusion — the illegal execution of Iraq’s lawful president — has been a fait accompli. The only question has been when.
As 2006 ends, the United States is desperate. Defeated militarily on the ground, long defeated politically and morally, the occupation is preparing to open the year 2007 with a barrage of atrocities, including the open murder of Iraq’s lawful president. This, like all other US-authored atrocities in Iraq, will not allow the US and its criminal partners to impose on Iraq a future that is contrary to the fundamental interests of the Iraqi people.
The imminent execution of President Saddam Hussein is a challenge to the world. Its occurrence would mark a watershed in the imposition by force of a global state of exception to law and to international standards of justice and due process.
States are obliged to protect international law and oppose acts that undermine it.[ix] International law is the arbiter and final guarantor of world peace. When states cannot or fail to act to protect it, or when they act resolutely to destroy it, it is the duty of citizens everywhere to oppose global tyranny by direct action.
Urgent action demands
We demand that legal institutions worldwide, governmental and non-governmental, act now to prevent the illegal execution of President Saddam Hussein.
We demand that all states and the United Nations speak up immediately and oppose and prevent the illegal execution of President Saddam Hussein.
We demand an immediate meeting of the UN Security Council in which must be affirmed the legal basis governing international relations and in particular the fundamental jus cogens norms of international humanitarian law.
We call upon the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention to defend its November 2006 conclusion that the detention of President Saddam Hussein is illegal and act to prevent his illegal execution.
We invoke the mandate afforded to the UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Execution to intervene to prevent the illegal execution of President Saddam Hussein.
We call upon the Special Rapporteur on the Independence of Judges and Lawyers to defend his March 2006 conclusion that the Iraqi Higher Criminal Court is questionable, has limited competence and has given rise to serious breaches of international human rights principles and standards. We call upon the rapporteur to intervene to prevent the illegal execution of President Saddam Hussein — a further insult to justice.
We demand that the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights personally intervene to prevent this grave war crime from occurring. No one in authority can claim ignorance as to its imminence.
We affirm that international law is the bequest of generations and an expression of the development of human civilization and that people worldwide, individually and in groups, have a stake in protecting it, and the world peace that depends on it.
We call upon citizens and individuals everywhere to stand up in defence of international law and Iraqi sovereignty and act to prevent the execution of Iraq’s legal president.
The execution of Saddam Hussein would not only be a war crime against one individual and state. It would lend an illusion of legality to illegal acts — both the execution of a lawful president and the invasion and destruction of Iraq. It would be nothing less than a declaration of the death of international law, slain by this criminal Bush administration and its collaborators.
If the execution of President Saddam Hussein will not lead to an international or global war, it sows the seeds, in its overt illegality, and in conjunction with Washington’s exclusion of international law from international relations, for precisely this outcome.

[i] In January 2004 the US government officially recognized President Saddam Hussein’s prisoner of war status. See Article 3 The Hague IV Regulations, 1907: “The armed forces of the belligerent parties may consist of combatants and non-combatants. In the case of capture by the enemy, both have a right to be treated as prisoners of war.” The Third Geneva Convention Relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War, 1949, provides for the human rights to security of person, privacy, respect, humane treatment, and fair trial. Under international law, no special arrangements can be constituted that adversely affect the rights of persons. See Article 7 of The Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in the Time of War, 1949.
[ii] See Article 40 of the Interim Constitution of Iraq (1990).
[iii] See Articles 43 and 55 of The Hague IV Regulations on Laws and Customs of War on Land, 1907; Articles 54 and 64 of The Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in the Time of War, 1949.
[iv] For a full account of the illegality of the Iraqi Higher Criminal Court and the violations of international fair trial principles and standards witnessed during its proceedings see Iraqi Special Tribunal: A Corruption of Justice by Ramsey Clark and Curtis Doebbler (13 September 2006).
[v] Articles 70 and 65 of The Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in the Time of War, 1949; Article 14 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Article 14 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights requires that courts be established under preexisting law.
[vi] The Iraqi Higher Criminal Court is inconsistent with Iraqi law because it violates basic principles of international human rights law that are binding on Iraqi authorities according to Article 44 of the Interim Constitution of Iraq of 1990. Further, the court was formed in violation of processes set forth in Section IV, Articles 60 and 61 of the Interim Constitution and the Iraqi Law on Judicial Organization, the latter illegally annulled by Coalition Provisional Authority Order No 15 of 23 June 2003.
[vii] That the occupying power, through the Coalition Provisional Authority, created the Iraqi Higher Criminal Court (formerly the Iraqi Special Tribunal) is established by the fact that Order No 48, containing the statute of the court, had to be signed by Coalition Provisional Authority Administrator L Paul Bremer before it could enter into force.
[viii] See Article 6, paragraph 2, of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights that prohibits imposition of the death penalty when it does not apply “in accordance with the law in force at the time of the commission of the crime.” The retroactive application of the death penalty violates the Iraqi Penal Code, which states in Article 1: “no act or omission shall be penalized except in accordance with a legislative provision under which the said act or omission is regarded as a criminal offense at the time of its occurrence.” This arbitrary application of the death penalty is also a violation of the right to life in Article 6 of the International Covenant of Civil and Political Rights. See also Articles 2, 4 and 5 of the UN Safeguards Guaranteeing Protection of the Rights of Those Facing the Death Penalty.
[ix] Article 42(2) of the United Nations International Law Commission’s Draft Articles on State Responsibility, representing the rule of customary international law, prevents states from benefiting from their own illegal acts: “No State shall recognize as lawful a situation created by a serious breach …” (emphasis added); Section III(e), UN General Assembly Resolution 36/103 of 14 December 1962, “Declaration on the Inadmissibility of Intervention and Interference in the Internal Affairs of States”.

The tall and short story of this is… America was going into a reccession and electing an idiot as President…he chosed to divert the attention of what he trully do not know…that is economics and management skills to bring America away from the reccession.
The bombing of the World Trade Centre gave him a perfect reason to start a war. You can say Osama bin Laden is directly …..the bad khammar of Sadam to give reasons for the devilish Bush to do his dirty job.You go and guess why he chosed Iraq and no other more dangerous countries that have real weapons of destructions. He is simply a bullier and war means America can sell more arms plus a check out who are his supporters. Only one. Blair of Britian need to keep alliance with the most powerful nation on earth to protect the pounds…as he refused to join in the Euro.
To sum up…Sadam is chosen as the punching bag. Not that he is totally innocent…but like I said…much more dangerous countries ….not chosen…..why?? Because North Korea being one will be defended by Russia and China. Bush is trully a coward with no principles in life.
Iran will get the co-operations of Sadam ofcourse…..even if they do not agree and lead to a total unity if the Middle East countries includung Egypt. This Blair is expert to advise Bush how to divide and rule . These two are the bullies to save their own leadership position….not or the country.
Study the many sides of how Sadam died and hope all Malaysians can relate how easy for a cunning and selfish leader in Malaysia can devide us too for selfish reason.
Nothing we say or do can help Iraq or Sadam unwarranted death….no matter how cruel he was. ..as reason such as weapons of destruction he posseed was totlly false.
Ironically Osama bin Laden ….the proven mastermind of the 9/11 bombings is very much alive. God protect his soul forever!!
Finally….this shows clearly the Muslims are not United….even if they pray together. This is another story for the reasons.
Now America can sell more arms and give time to grow rich again. If the whole free world can boycott all AMERICAN GOODS….for one or two years….they will go bankcrupt……..but majority innocent Americans will suffer. Thus not right to do.
Live and get along with each other……..for good and bad will always be on Earth and particularly in Malaysia. It is the strength of the bad we majority good folks must watch out not to corrupt or destroy of united peaceful way of life.
Dear friends,
I am proud that we managed to discuss with serious elaboration about The Late Saddam’s fate with facts and rational. Thank you folks.
Unfortunately, I am not able to join your discussion because this is something I am not well verse in. However, I learn a lot by reading the comment posted here.
Thanks again.
Maybe my buddy Yusof have something to share on this matter?
Mat Merah wrote “Why wait for Pak Lah to speak? Would it make a difference? Saddam is dead! He faced death squarely in its face!”
No comment Sdr Mat Merah, I rest my case!
Sdr Sheih
Selamat Tahun Baru Sheih!
Guess the point is proven.
I will like to add that Sadam was elected President and protected by certain immunities. against jailing or death sentence. Bush and Blair have unlawfully invaded Iraq with lies and deceits.
This means Sadam was a current President of Iraq hanged. Is that not the mockery of the legal system in Iraq formed by USA advisers …ofcourse. If it is legal..then Nixon and Clinton must also go to jail.
Can you see clearly the double standards practised by Bush? Can you see the thick skinned hypocracies??
If there is a God…Bush and Blair must be accountable for their lies to divide Iraq …worst than before.
I hope a new US President have the guts to charge Bush Jr. as a war criminal. He killed 3000 of his soldiers and hundreds of innocent lives…all US citizens for his lies against Sadam. Is that not good enough reason to try him and few others in USA court??
But having said that….memories are short and one crook killing another…..ordinary people will close both eyes…not one… both eyes to let go and forget demamding justice.
But those loyal to Sadam will surely indensify their “war” against US and Britian. Who will suffer?? The innocent by-standers.
LATEST NEWS…..Two bombs exploded in Bangkok at welknown shopping centres.
Selamat Tahun Baru Sdr Mat Merah!
bro saya saya passersby ..je. but this are my comment: apa yg allahyarham SH lakukan semasa perang dgn negara shiah tu adalah kerana shian tu pun kalau tak jaga akan menyerang negra lain. mereka yg mati masa perang tu ie the shite , they called shahid. meaning they never iktiraf sunni at all sebagai islam. all the while banyak ancaman dari shite ni nak menguasai kota mekah. tapi tak berjaya setakat ni. sekarang ni bila dua negara bergabung Iraq baru yg penuh dgn shiah, esp I raq masih penuh dgn minyak dan telaga yg baru, at the same time Saudi punya minyak dah mula berkurangan, maka pertahanan untuk mengawal kota mekah agak goyah. orang arab ni pemalas macam org kita juga. hidup nak 1st class semangat juang 3 rd class je. semua mesti disuap duit. maka nanti suatu hari dan ketika kota mekah akan dilanggar dajal … ie the shite.
all the so called the caretaker family ie the Saud akan cabut lari ke luar macam kuwait punya royalties. as for malaysian we have no pendirian kan. so iran kita bodek iraq kita bedek. dah tu ada gak malaun yg merojakkan ajaran sunni dan shia. nak fused kan utk mana yg senang. dan adalah juga manusia di malaysia mengiktirafkan pahaman shite tu.
what ever it si the day that umat Islam menafikan ajaran Rasullullah saw , tahu lah kita di penghujung zaman.
tapi saya bersedih kerana SH cuma politician dan dia berani terang terangan menentang shite s and thing that is facts . btw it is under history kuwait adalah creation of colonial power. ANNEXED by brit from iraq and elevate the pengampu on their side to be a king. no table talk or whatever… they just annexed and et voila…
selamat hari raya haji.
btw
imagine : umno to baatth party dan parti keadilan akashia kurdis +pas aka arab paya+dap etc minority non muslim di iraq tu equiv current ruling party in Iran sure satu majlis umno tertinggi kena gantung sampai mati agaknye kalau pemerintah ditukar eh? wallah hualam bisawab.
Who is Bander?? That’s George Bush!!
He was given the nickname by Saudie royalties AFFECTIONATELY as “Bander Bush”
Sheih, Saddam Hussein asked Munir Haddad - one of the judges that upheld his death sentence - to pass the Qur’an to the son of Awal al-Bandar, Badr.
Awal al-Bandar was a former judge who was also convicted and sentenced to death for his involvement in sanctioning the alleged killing of the Dujail villagers. His son Badr, whom the late Iraq president wanted to pass the Qur’an to, is a lawyer and was one of the defence team for Saddam and his 6 co-defendants.
I hope this bit of info helps.
I was told the Bander… Saddam refer to was his son. I was thinking even t the last moment, Sadam have the six sense to mock Bush….which incidentally addressed as “Bander Bush” by Saudies royalties.
Folks I was wrong. I guess bander mean son and though Sadam has the sixth sense to mock Bush even at his last breath for Bush is also called bander by Saudie royalties.
