Mahathir, 81, staggered and choked from the acrid spray, and was immediately whisked away by his guards in a car, the witness said. “It was a pepper spray attack. It choked him and he could not breath very well,” said an aide, also speaking on condition of anonymity. He said Mahathir was taken to his hotel but was not hospitalised.

Latest update on the attack on Mahathir

Malaysia TodayAccording to the latest report received by Malaysia Today, Datuk Nik Safia bin Nik Yussof was the ‘unidentified person’ who sprayed Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad with either mace or pepper spray.Datuk Nik Safia, one-time Deputy Chairman of Umno Kuala Kerai, had earlier stormed into the airport with six tough-looking bouncers in boots and leather jackets and confronted Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad (ex-Member of Parliament Kok Lanas). He then demanded that he be allowed to ‘take’ Tun Dr Mahathir.Tan Sri Abdullah would not engage Datuk Nik Safia who then said that he would ‘take’ Mahathir at all costs. When Mahathir arrived he was ushered into Datuk Ibrahim Ali’s Pajero. Datuk Nik Safia then sprayed mace into the Pajero and grabbed the shocked Mahathir and bundled him into his (Datuk Nik Safia) own car and zoomed off.

KB teargas attack on Mahathir – despicable and contemptible

Time & Date: July 28, 2006 @ 14: 56.

The despicable
teargas attack
on former Prime Minister
Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad
at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kota Baharu on his arrival this morning must be condemned by all Malaysians in the strongest possible terms as it represents a culture which is completely unacceptable and must not be allowed to take root in Malaysia. However strongly or even viscerally one disagrees with another, and undoubtedly Mahathir is the object of powerful sentiments of both animosity and support, there can be no excuse for such a physical attack on another person . The police should be able to instantly bring to book the culprit or culprits who perpetrated the attack on Tun Mahathir, not so much because he is the former Prime Minister for 22 years but because like any other Malaysian, he should have freedom of movement, speech and expression without fear of loutish and gangsterish elements taking the law into their own hands.

End of road for Abdullah

8 07 2006

As the morning breaks, Malaysian starts whispering the sober truth. Yes. It’s the end of road for Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. The Fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia. Seem like Abdullah knows that this is the confrontation he will not win. Through out his entire political career, Abdullah won many battles. He tried to win this war using the same strategy he did in those previous battles. His approach is simple, remain silent or ‘mystical’ to some. Lay low and let the generals take charge of the battlefields. When everything remains quite of the frontline, Abdullah will emerge. He became too complacence with the title of Mr. Nice Guy. But, this is a combat that Abdullah is the General. He cannot use the same tactic he been using through out his entire political career, it will not work. But he remains adamant with what he is so used to. Let the ministers, his spin-doctors and he infamous son in law lead the way. Too many commanding officers without a commander-in-chief to lead the way will only bring catastrophe. War zone is no place for Mr. Nice guy. At the end, the commanders became warlords and amid all confusion, they started to fight among each other. As this unveiled, the outsiders smile and hop to the prospect to deliver the killer blow. Many critics deem Abdullah won’t last long when the war finally being declared. Yet still, nobody believes it going to end as fast and as easy as this. However, as Abdullah stays put and keep his silent, the mystification become more intolerable. The chorus boys and girls need to opt side fast. The need to know who going to lead the way as they need to reverberate whatever this person choose to say. It’s a tough job for the chorus boys and girls and this one leader by the name of Abdullah refused to openly say something. So what left for them to echo it? As soon as the confusion starts to spread, they scuttle to hide at the very first person they suspected would determine the future of the country. This is where the cannibalistic ritual started. So the fatality at the end of the day came sooner than expected for Abdullah. As thing remain quite in Perth, Australia, the grassroots are left waiting for what they already knew going to happen. The huge Mahathir road show will kick off in Kelantan by end of the month. Annuar Musa half-heartedly begging for the organizer not to go ahead with it. This came soon after Annuar met with a calamity that left him under the pain management treatment. Previously, Annual was heard telling everybody, I love Mahathir but I love UMNO more. Decades ago we heard he said in PWTC, I love Ku Li but I love Mahathir more. This time around he choose to mention UMNO instead of another name. The sign on cracking seems everywhere now. Depends from which sources you are hearing, January or February is the chosen date for Abdullah’s departure. He might choose to increase the fuel prices early January or he may choose to leave the headache to his successor. But he cannot afford to stay on past February. Historian soon will begin to search for the good things to be highlighted in honour of our fifth Prime Minister.

Prelude

4 07 2006

I choose to call it off on my previous blog. I guess because it makes me feel worst and make me look more desperados than I am now. Yups… still in need of prozac. 24th Of March 2006 still the last date I actually did something that worth a paycheck. Not since and still look unlikely in the nearest future.

Yups… I make my peace with God. It may sound as though I betray all my believe in him in previous moment. Hey! No I did not. Praying physically may be not going well for me previously but it doesn’t mean I never prayed. Not single moment pass by without me not praying. I pray for a lots of thing. Although long since I physically did it.

But yeah, I made my peace with God, if that what the Mullahs think. But even before not a moment pass by without me chanting greatfulness to him though. I did it most of time at least before I fell asleep.

Okay then. I made my peace with God. So… life goes on right. Yup. With or without. Lets get kicking then.

Still starring at those Petronas Twin Tower. The Cup-of-life is about to come to its end, that’s on the sports front. On the political front, well Mahathir is taking a calculatingly cool break. According to Straits Times Singapore, his heading to the Mediterranean joining good friend Ananda. According to same sources too, the Untalkative PM (only on choosen issues though) is in Perth, with members of his families. I trust you know who is also there. People said they are taking a break, I said, they are surely kicking some plan there.

Back at home, nothing much. Economy sluggish as ever. Price of goods keep heading north in a country that heading south.

And for me… still haunted by many bad dreams. Oh bugger!

What ever, I’m kicking this one with more energy that my previous blog. I hope though, it will remain that way. All the way.
